SNOW DAY

school was canceled ALL DAY today after updates every two hours. best christmas break ever? we went to ryan and abby's around noon to drink and eat and watch tv and eat and go on fun outings and eat. most fulfilling day evar !! we also went on a trek, which was super embarrassing as we felt compelled to walk single-file the entire time. pictures follow.

these guys were shoveling around the track at the park (i guess?) and stopped to offer us some makkoli and to ask if they could take pictures with us. of course we obliged.

alcoholism?

we have a liaison at school, tony, who's responsible, among other things, for helping us out with housing and generally living in korea as douchey foreigners. i'm finally getting signed up for health insurance with my school, and he was asking me some questions. it's rather important to note at this point that tony speaks pretty limited english.

t: how many drinks do you consume per week?
a: i don't know, seven?
t: no. how many drinks, not how many days.
